The attorney for one of the women who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment said Friday that a series of inappropriate behaviors and unwanted advances spanning months led his client to take action. He also challenged the presidential contenders credibility in claiming not to recall details about the incidents or her allegations.
The late-day news conference by lawyer Joel P. Bennett offered the most details to date of a scandal that has consumed Washington and the race for the Republican nomination for the past week. His account contrasts with comments made by Cain, who initially disputed the allegations but later said he recalled a single incident while he was head of the National Restaurant Association in which he compared a female subordinates height to that of his wife.
Mr. Cain knows the specific incidents that were alleged, Bennett said. My client filed a written complaint in 1999 against him specifically. It had very specific incidents in it. If he chooses not to remember or acknowledge those, thats his issue.
The restaurant association also released a statement Friday confirming that it had agreed to the settlement with Bennetts client in September 1999 without any admission of liability. The statement noted that Cain had denied the allegations at the time and was not a party to the settlement. The statement also said the association has waived a confidentiality requirement, giving Bennetts client permission to speak about the allegations. Bennett said his client, who has been married for 26 years, does not plan to do so.

LOL. SURE, RIGHTO, WHATEVER.
Every male I’ve ever worked with could have a sexual harassment suit filed against him. Every Single One....
Except me....

As the saying goes: “Put up, or shut up”.
The NRA offered to RELEASE the woman from her non-disclosure, if what I read yesterday is correct.
She refused and went silent. The entire episode appears to be BUNK.
TOTAL BUNK.
Lol. I wonder how long the media/et al. will keep trying to ride on the stankly coattails of this thing.
**********************************************************
LOL, so this slime ball and his client have been begging the NRA to waive the confidentiality agreement and allow the woman to defend herself, and when it is waived and their bluff is called the woman refuses to speak out.
Now doesn't this put a huge exclamation point on this farcical event?
Anonymous accuser that refuses to talk about what might or might not have happened 26 years ago. And that other people say is not consistent with Cain’s character.
Cain should just ignore these articles. Let them keep talking about it and eventually they will say too much and be in breech of settlement. Then the accuser can repay that settlement. Ate they hoping for hush money this time around?
Until the press reports actual details of the allegations this is nothing but leftist media bias of lynching through headlines.
Can you imagine calling yourself a journalistic enterprise and running 90 articles ona “scandal” without once mentioning any substance??
All the left cares about is headlines attacking Cain, they know there is no story attached to them.
no breach, the NRA offered waived the confidentiality agreement but the accuser is now silent
I’m am tired of hearing about this so I must ask. Where in the Constitution does it say that a candidate must “pure”? The Bible clearly states that no man is.
IF Mr Cain harassed someone, how does that affect us now or in the future? Will it make us richer, poorer, healthier, sicker, smarter, dumber?
Shouldn’t we be looking at the candidate’s business brain? His love for Our Country?
