Clear back in the 70's it was common practice for women who had been “let go”, to claim sexual harassment as the reason for leaving their last job on their next job application.

Moreover, the NRA statement says she filed a complaint in July 1999 under the Associations policies “against discrimination and harassment.” Believe me these types of official statements are very carefully prepared and worded so as to give only the information they want to give. Similarly, this statement is very carefully worded by the same lawyer who handled the claims back in 1999. Why include “discrimination” in the statement if this was just a harassment claim?
You can also bet that the NRA’s offer to waive the confidentiality was mutual; meaning that if it is waived for you, it is also waived for the NRA. The claimant decided not to go forward if the NRA was free to talk also.

Maybe next week if a tabloid gives her more “value” in her story - she’ll change her mind.

Maybe they are people who have serious issues with Cain, not only on his handling of the sex story but on a lot of other things he’s done.
And why should I call anybody out? I don’t know any Perry supporters who’ve attacked Cain, or attacked him unfairly.
You’re so big on getting up front with accusations, find somebody’s post who is a Perry supporter and who has told a lie.
I’ve been on a lot of Perry threads where Perry is unfairly and stupidly attacked and the poster of those threads always responds with a pleasantry like ‘have a nice day.’
I could go back and get posts that would curl your hair with shame.
You gotta admit though, that the episode .. slight as it was... is seared in your memory.
You know when Cain pats his heart and waves at everybody, I mean me? That really offends me! He is telling me that he loves me.. and he has the gull to do it right in the presence of my wife! Sexual harassment! Sexual harassment! Sexual harassment!
false accusations for political purposes(homosexual agenda in my case) have a tendency to do that, so i'll give Cain the benefit of doubt...
However, it is not unusual in the Hotel Rest. Industry for behavior to be more problematic...many young people and the hormones are kicking...also they're generally emotional and looking to be liked by their fellow associates...... Additionally the very nature of the business is to make people feel welcomed and comfortable...not all understand the boundaries when they are just coming into the workforce.
Insurance companies are far more conservative and clients expectations are another story altogether then that of the hospitality industry. Both with clients and those one works among.
No matter what the fallout is, and the gal responding is just one being played out, Cain should have not gone further than his first statement...period....but because he continued to feed the beast it got hotter. ...all that follows is now the fallout from him doing just that.
