I like this quote from Roberts.

Conservative Chief Justice John Roberts signaled concern about relying merely on the “good faith” of the prosecutors to prevent abusive prosecutions against presidents if the Supreme Court rejects presidential immunity.

“Now you know,” Roberts told Dreeben, “how easy it is in many cases for a prosecutor to get a grand jury to bring an indictment. And reliance on the good faith of the prosecutor may not be enough in some cases

The lawyer laughingly countered by agreeing and saying the protection against a bad case is the jury, lol, like the NY jury on the Trump trial - a jury that would convict Trump of anything.

“how easy it is in many cases for a prosecutor to get a grand jury to bring an indictment”

Which is why the Grand Jury idea needs to be abolished or drastically changed to limit the ambitions of political prosecutors.

Good faith? How can anyone bring themselves to mutter that after the Duke lacrosse players rape trial? Long gone.

scumprosecutors.

The Founders didn't intend that there be a prosecutor behind every blade of grass.

ABC did an uneven article on this, including this malapropism: Kavanaugh raises question of 'risk' of 'vague' statues to go after a president

"Vague statues?" Would that thing go after a president?

We've seen the Soros 'prosecutors ' and they're people who feel the law is their personal sledgehammer to damage the people they disagree with.

Seems like Roberts just slapped Smith across the face with that statement.

I was a grand juror during the Clinton administration and we had a case that was assault on a Federal officer. As we questioned further the assault was that the officer ran after the person’s car and fell down. They were just very mad at that guy and they wanted to get him and I convinced them to deny them the indictment. They were very miffed.
