Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) criticized Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for showing up to former President Trump’s criminal hush money trial in New York on Tuesday.
“Have to admit I’m surprised that @SpeakerJohnson wants to be in the ‘I cheated on my wife with a porn star’ club,” Cheney posted on the social platform X. “I guess he’s not that concerned with teaching morality to our young people after all.”
Johnson appeared with other Republican lawmakers at the Manhattan courthouse where Trump is on trial for falsifying business records connected to an alleged affair with porn actress Stormy Daniels.
In a statement confirming his appearance in New York, the Speaker’s office said the hush money case was a “sham prosecution of President Trump” and criticized the “left-wing Manhattan district attorney” Alvin Bragg, who led the investigation into Trump.

The New York trial isn’t supposed to be about morality, but whether or not laws were broken.
None were.
Kangaroo, democrat show trial made to highlight Trump’s immorality is just plain illegal election interference.
The judge and prosecutors need to be charged with breaking the law—not Donald Trump.
Not that I anticipate this in the least, but it is the unvarnished non-partisan truth.
Liz, maybe you prefer associating with a party that boasts a former President who had oral sex with a 21 year old staffer in the pantry of the Oval Office while his wife was upstairs;
- and a ‘first son’ who smoked crack with hookers while selling his father’s influence to foreign interests;
- and a President whose daughter admits writing in her diary that she showered with her father as a child - an act she designated ‘probably inappropriate’;
- and a former President who sat in a pew listening to anti-American racist rhetoric for years, and who announced his Senate candidacy at the home of Bill Ayers - who was on the FBI’s most wanted list for years and never got convicted because of a legal mistake (”Guilty as Sin, Free as a Bird”).
What chunky Cheney did to lose her primary by 40% is far worse than Stormy Daniels extortion of Trump. Back stabbing witch.
She’s a good one to talk about morality.
