I’ve been tempted by Temu but...hell no. The items look handy sometimes and the prices are good. But I’m sure the the quality is crap and it’s Chinese crap. Then there is the digital info concerns. Hell no.
Just got in a bunch of XH-M603 charge regulator boards.. they cost less than any I ever found before, even cheaper than building my own boards.. sweet
And these nice thermostats w 10A relay, also sweet at two for 3.98 and free shipping.
Im aware of someone that has a constant stream of orders with them and am close enough to see what is going on. Im told that the return rate on those items that have been ordered by them exceeds 90%. Most items so far have had at least one problem right out of the box, misrepresented junk quality(”metal” items made of plastic), or seems like quality of material is ok but item doesnt work, or 1/3 to 1/4 the size, etc.
It has to be a full size semi trailer full of junk that has arrived, only a couple of small items remained. Those items seems to be items that were leftover last generation items or spare pieces that were repurposed and sold as something else. I was the recipient of a “toothpick”. Its a very strong and very sharp steel spike a couple of inches long in a little metal case. Definitely not dentist approved, could be used to poke a hole in a sidewall. Im quite confident that it started as the discard from some machining operation and was re-made and sold as a “toothpick” but Im guessing that its really intended as an aeration tool for too tightly wound joints or something like that.
I really dont need extra help losing teeth, never was a stoner, and dont even smoke cigars any more so Im quite sure that this is a “quality” item that will outlast me.
I did see a couple of videos though saying that Temu was mostly just a lot of fraudulent junk dumping. I burst out loud laughing at one woman that ordered some stuffed pillows and found them to be filled with old cigarette butts.
You get what you paid for, its just not what they represented or you what intended when ordering.
It’s not bad quality but it is cheap due to slave labor.
Good luck avoiding buying their products since they supplanted the US and world in manufacturing. After WWII US was 80% of goods sold worldwide, now it is China.
