Annexation was not the goal. The Russian speaking oblasts of Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk were to be incorporated as Novorossia.
Ukrainian military was to be neutralized so as to not put NATO nuclear armed missiles at the doorstep of Moscow. (Read Khrushchev and Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis)
These objectives are being met. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men killed. Women fled to the rest of Europe.
Elites hate European people, Ukrainian, Russian, British, Irish or otherwise. Why else but the importation of Sub-Saharan Muslims into Europe, the same people who throw Sub-Saharan Christians into the ocean? Do they hate Christians? The answer is obviously yes. Do they hate Europeans? Yes.
This war is achieving the effect of depopulating Ukraine of native Europeans and I hate it. I don’t hate Russians. I don’t hate Ukrainians. I hate our western “elites” who in turn hate us.

You do hate Ukrainians but just can’t be intellectually honest about it because the truth is painful. You hate that they fight to defend their borders, language and culture against a genocidal invader who has promised explicitly to erase their nation. You don’t, obviously.
Kyiv was a “Russian speaking” city by choice until Putin launched his genocidal war of conquest against Ukraine. Was Progozhin’s coup and the first defense of Moscow since 1941 part of Dear Leader Putin grand strategy plan? How about his murder?
