This is new - an independent thinker in China allowed to express a countervailing view without getting shouted down by loons.
If that professor was allowed to express his opinion, then, you can bet that the Chinese rulers allowed the opinion to get out. Meaning that, perhaps the Chinese leadership don't expect Russia to be successful in their conquest of Ukraine.
Bad news for Russia and Russia's supporters in FR and elsewhere.

He does not criticize the CCP. He is free to say such things.

Bad news for Russia and Russia's supporters in FR and elsewhere. Put up or shut up. Every inch of territory Russia controls will remain in its control after this war is over. If you disagree, let's make a wager. Say, $500 to a future Freep-a-thon? Of course, you won't take that bet because you knows these claims are bullsh%t.
Ukraine is losing ground DAILY. The Russians have destroyed a significant percentage of Ukraine's electric grid and, obviously, have the capability of totally disabling it.
All you're doing to by encouraging Ukrainians to continue this war is assuring more Ukrainians die and that Ukraine loses more territory.
