Washington — House Republicans are presenting the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on Tuesday, kicking off a confrontation over an impeachment trial that's been brewing for months.
The house is now delivering the impeachment articles with all of the pomp and circumstance. Historic. Long overdue.

I’m actually surprised this is on today. I though Schumer was going to bury it. But no, Rep Mark Green is delivering the articles of impeachment, reading them to the senate.
I wish they’d follow through on Hunter, Hillary, Schiff, etc. They need to be in jail.
Schumer will treat is just like McConnell did Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial.
The impeachment managers: “GOP Reps. Mark Green of Tennessee, Michael McCaul of Texas, Andy Biggs of Arizona, Ben Cline of Virginia, Andrew Garbarino of New York, Michael Guest of Mississippi, Harriet Hageman of Wyoming, Clay Higgins of Louisiana, Laurel Lee of Florida, August Pfluger of Texas, and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”
Schumer wants to use a Senate motion to dismiss. It's unheard of; the Constitution requires a trial in the Senate.
Even before Schumer can make a motion to dismiss, the Senate must first choose someone to preside over the trial, most likely the President pro tempore Patty Murray (D-WA).
Then they have to adopt the rules for the trial, most likely the same rules that have been used in the prior impeachment trial. I don't think those rules included a motion to dismiss. The Senate rules for the Clinton impeachment trial included a motion to dismiss, but it wasn't used.

Sadly, there is precedent for impeachment trails of non presidents to be presided over by the vice president. We could see Kamala Harris sitting as president of the senate. And the clown show will continue.

Biden needs to close the border, Thats what this pressure is about I think.
It keeps the border situation on the front page. It give the monster a chance to lie under oath. It is a counter to the monstrosity of kangaroo court.
