And this is how DEMOCRAT ACTIVISTS operate, they spew crap that they know is untrue, then when called on it they give some BS excuse or justification.
You're right that it's probably not a mistake that she didn't outright apologize to Bobulinski for saying that a Trump PAC was paying his legal fees. The best that Tarlov could manage was to say that "she saw no evidence" that Trump PAC payments to Bobulinski's law firm were used to defend Bobulinski.
