Was there a Harbor Pilot on board, navigating and directing the ship’s exit from port? That is the billion dollar question. Everything else is what is “leaked’ or ‘discovered’ and speculative.
The Pilot must keep silent so until there is a mast hearing and Coast Guard inquiry there is a void.

2 were on board. Pay up!
Besides the claim made about “a” pilot— is there an identified official pilot—is what I mean. MSN here has strung together bits and pieces which may not be the case at all- and the fact it is MSN immediately calls into question what is being pushed— by operatives unknown.
Know we know that large shipper CMA CGM is “force majeure” for all incoming cargo to Baltimore ,dropping at alternate ports and closing their lading bills after the drop. Supply chain threat, strategic on East Coast.
I don’t know. The reports only say a captain & 2 pilots. Was 1 a harbor pilot? The media is notorious for giving vague info.
Why they didn’t employ help from a barge or 2 is a question that needs to be answered also. I’m guessing it was cheaper not to and that the departure was planned at high tide with the assumption that it would help them get through the harbor without help. It probably would have worked if they hadn’t lost power.
