Flemington Borough Councilman Malik Johnston was arrested on charges of selling cocaine and methamphetamine, the Office of the Hunterdon County Prosecutor announced Friday.
"On various occasions between December 2022 and February 2023 in Raritan Township, Mr. Johnston sold quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine to an undercover police officer," the statement says.

appropriated african name of Malik for an American.

In Flemington, Democrat Malik Johnston and Republican Kim Tilly are in the lead for two borough council sets.

My niece’s husband is installing that welcome monstrosity.

Not sure what an intersex person is. Confused I guess.
Black councilman in this area is a first also. Population of Hunterdon County is <2% Black.
Driver was defeated in last election partly because of her anti-police attitude. She made national headlines by painting over a blue traffic line the previous mayor had put down main street to support police, saying it offended some of her constituents.
No doubt one offended was this councilman.
Western NJ is rural and conservative, but the Drivers and others move out here to be safe, bringing their woke ideas and drugs with them.
Hunterdon is a very RED county and definitely Trump country, except for Flemington and Lambertville, probably Frenchtown too.
Malik knows a good deal when its offered to him no matter who it kills.
