A New Jersey college cancelled a “drag queen story hour” planned for faculty members’ children during “Bring your child to work” day when staff objected.
Brookdale Community College had been planning a read-along event with a drag performer known as “Harmonica Sunbeam” for months before calling it off the night before in order to “respect the comfort levels of all involved,” school officials said.
The reading event was supposed to be part of the Lincroft college’s “Bring Your Child to Work Day” last Thursday, NJ.com reported.
“I did ask why, but I did not receive an answer,” Sunbeam told the outlet with disappointment. “This had been planned for quite some time so I was shocked that it was canceled the night before.”
The drag queen, who has been performing for over 30 years and doing similar reading events since 2015, has previously come under fire from those who find these events inappropriate for children.
“Here’s the deal, if the program is not for you, don’t attend,” he wrote in a June 2021 Instagram post responding to the backlash. “If you want to worry about kids’ well-being, volunteer at an orphanage, feed the homeless kids around the world, join the Big Brother programs.”

I’m old enough to remember when men could read stories to children without trying to Groom them at the same time.
I’m old enough to remember when grown ass men were not caught dead in public dressed like this.
Yes there were men in movies who dresses as women for comedy but even they were not “drag queens”. Remember the movie “Some Like it Hot” staring Marilyn Monroe?
For a very long time men dressed as women in theater because women were not allowed to perform.
Drag comes from dressed as girl-an acronym Shakespeare used in the margins of his plays.
I don’t think kids were allowed to attend theater.
These days it is hyper-sexualized grooming targeting kids. It is disgusting, revolting and the parents involved are either naive, stupid or willingly aiding and abetting.
This was adult comedy

And this is in deep New Jersey in a college no less. There is a shift taking place.
I’ve never met a real woman who dresses or looks like what these drag queens costume up as.
Drag is to women what blackface is to blacks.
He can go pound sand.
If he doesn’t like getting canceled at the last minute he can go find a legitimate way to earn a legitimate living instead of sexually preying on children.
This school is in Monmouth County, where I live. This is a strong Republican area, despite the fact that our Gov and many other rich lefties make their homes here.
Hubby and I really had our beebers stuned when we moved here in 2008 and saw all the McCain/Palin signs. It was like another world from Hudson County, where we had lived before.
Now this is truly TRUMP COUNTRY!!!!

Maybe the novelty of drag queen story hour, which is really just for the twisted men doing the performances, may be wearing off. That would be an answer to prayer, but keep praying, brothers and sisters! Our God is with us like a mighty warrior, and on our knees we battle for the children.
And on a side note, the campy, corny names these “performers” use has gotten old, too.

You know, I would think that Iran going after Israel, and Israel hitting them back, would wake some people up to the Signs of the Times.
I think it did - but there are some that think it’s just incidental.
Well, time will certainly tell.
Meanwhile, IMHO, this only serves to show where the events will lead.
