I hear China is selling solar panels at 50% off and in year or so it will be 40% off that 50% off ,LOL

If they are of any quality they may reach my price point for a 10 to 12 kw installation. I don't want a subsidy or even care a lot about net metering just need an outlet for excess power. Putting a big dent in the commercial power consumption is enough and getting better as electricity costs rise.

If I can get an intermittent 50 amps during the daylight hours that would put a big hole in the electric bill.
