Rarely do bright people go into acting as a career. In fact, in many cases, the people who go into acting were, by their own admission, very poor students.

Anthony Hopkins, a fine man and great actor, said that his father and teachers considered him slightly retarded. He said that, after becoming an actor, he learned that his story was quite common among actors.
