They should have started to replace the bridge around 2000 because you could see from the design that it was going to be vulnerable to accidents like this one.
If it is all “paid for” then there is no reason for the replacement bridge to be a toll bridge, right?
Maryland is one of a handful of safe states for Biden, so his electioneering will have little impact. The only people who will give much thought to this, come November, are Maryland voters. The rest of the country will have switched their focus to any number of crises that will likely erupt between now and election day. But people will notice the inflation they have to deal with every day, which will only get worse with the pressure this disaster will put on our supply chains.
