Biden’s buffoonery aren’t encouraging it - they were pushed to do what they are doing because of the bravery of the Ukrainians in fighting off Putin’s Nazi army
Correct, I think the time for that was under Boris Yeltsin
Russia was hurting badly and had opened up. If Clinton had gotten off his.... he could have created an ally and prevented a little KGB twerp from blackmailing his way to power
1750
So about the time we were taking over this country? Trail of Tears is right down the road from me. Every nation that’s had an empire has done the same, Portugal, Spain, UK, US and Europeans in general took over this place we live.
Then from the 50s to 90s, our CIA did a bunch of regime changes in Ctrl/South America. Cheap bananas and coffee were important.
ought-six, if he were a main stream publisher would join the ranks of the NYT and their recent Pulitzers.
One note, and fully behind the fall and destruction of Nations everywhere.
Clearly, to the sane mind, Russia wants the NATO to back off from the borders of Russia. While the EU and American chicken hawks see fortune$$$$$$$ and glory. They do not see the death of the millions brought on by “regime change”.
Break up Russia into 22 Republics, and they are easily subsumed by the NWO that your employers at the WEF dream of.
“Break up Russia into 22 Republics, and they are easily subsumed by the NWO that your employers at the WEF dream of.”
You must have me confused with someone else.
But, in any event, there are already 22 republics in the Russian Federation.
“1750....So about the time we were taking over this country?”
Your history is off. The USA has been in existence since 1776 and moved west only after 1812
Russia is a federation of many nations. Russians are one, but others are Chechens, udmurts, mari, yakuts, buryats etc
true, but that wasn’t the USA and the westward expansion was blocked by the fact that the French claimed the land to the west.
There was some back and forth but in the end things worked out. They helped us and got Canada. Further makes my point that Europeans were in the process of taking over North America in the mid 16th century. The natives might not have been making things from iron but they were here before us and we took over what’s now the US and Canada. A big ass area.
When it comes to empires, they grow to a point and then shrink. Might happen to us one of these days.
No rational person can possibly think this a good idea.
No rational person can possibly think this is NOT a good idea.
you see - the “no rational....” is a blanket dismissive statement and wrong.
Russians of Putin’s era are brought up to think that they liberated Central Europe when they really just conquered it from the Nazis (with whom they had initially allied). They think people ought to be grateful for that and they also still have an imperialist mentality.
Just like Germany in the inter-war years, the Russians don’t understand that they lost the Cold War.
Imperial Germany surrendered when its troops were outside Germany’s borders, hence the lie of the “stab in the back” - it took the complete deconstruction of Germany to rehabilitate it and stop the people’s ideas of war and conquest. The same for Japan.
Today’s Russians still think in terms of an imperium - that means they can never have peace with their neighbors.
a smaller Russia where they realize that war is not the way is the way for Russia to achieve what it can.
If Putin had concentrated on encouraging Russia’s human capital and focused them on improving the life for all Russians, rather than robbing them and focusing them on an imperium, then Russia would be in a far better shape today
