Mr. Obama, Take My Senator, Please!

Like some current and former U.S. Senators (Obama, Biden & Daschle), Hillary Clinton appears to be in line for a promotion.

New Yorkers should rejoice, because it means she will no longer be the steward of the Upstate New York economy. Obama Cabinet

When Senator Clinton ran for Senate in 2000, she promised economic revitalization for New Yorkers living north of New York City and its suburbs. She even went so far as to promise 200,000 new jobs for the region. New Yorkers believed her and gave her a chance.

Obviously, she did not fulfill her pledge to New Yorkers. Eight years later, and Hillary Clinton still hasn’t created 200,000 jobs.

Eight years later, and Hillary Clinton still hasn’t created 200,000 jobs. In fact, Upstate New York has lost 20,000 private sector jobs while manufacturing jobs, once the life-blood of Upstate, have declined by 24%.* Obviously, she did not fulfill her pledge to New Yorkers.

So typical Clintonesque, the lies and distortions always bring no results. Hillary is no exception, after so many years of learning, from the best, about how to lie your way into anything because there are sooooo many liberal dolts that will believe ANYTHING you say. And New York was the perfect haven for those.....

How could she deliver on her promises? The only senator who ever spent less time on the job as a senator before running for POTUS was Obama, her boss. Makes you feel safe, don’t it? The future S o S’s main foreign experience is running off French bimbos from Bill’s suite.

"New Yorkers believed her and gave her a chance"

Proving once again that liberal New Yorkers are far more naive, ignorant, and reckless than they imagine themselves to be.....

Seems Clinton has been doing everything she can to NOT be a Senator from New York ever since being elected as the senator from New York.

It was CLEARLY a stepping stone for her, and the people of NY swallowed her BS hook, line, and sinker.

Any voter who believes a politician who is promising to create X hundred thousand jobs is a boob. The only way politicians can create jobs is by creating government jobs or more government dependency in the private sector. If your typical politician was able to rely upon his own talent to build a sustainable private enterprise that employs thousands of people, chances are he wouldn’t stay a politician for very long because the pay isn’t good enough.

Who better to preside over that than Mrs Clinton? She’ll do for US foreign policy what she did for US healthcare reform...

You can’t hire people when the taxes and regulations are so bad that they KILL your business....like the auto companies....IMHO.....there has to be an environment that makes business owners WANT to make hiring decisions.

I misspoke. What I was trying to say is that a typical politician, if he had any talent, would leave for the private sector because the pay is better. So you agree with me.

It seems to me that people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Stevens have to be some of the most unimaginative people on earth if they have to rely on crony-ism and outright corruption to get rich. But I think that's certainly half of the reason why they want to be in government. The other reasons are power and occasionally ideology.

I live in Upstate NY and we have lost more than 24% of our manufacturing jobs here. I’d say over the last 20 years we’ve lost about 80%. Syracuse used to have tons of manufacturing jobs, so did Rome. Most are gone now. We’re a tourist economy now. Thanks, Hill.

I’m not disagreeing with you. Ever noticed that the Democrat politicians seem to be the ones who promise to create this or that number of jobs? It’s a white lie, particularly when we know that they’ll destroy more jobs than they “create”.

Back when she first ran, I don’t think she had to campaign. I think the Democrat machine in NY state just put her on the ballot, flipped a hidden switch somewhere, and “ka-ching!” carpetbagger Hillary was the new junior senator from NY.

Can you think of anything Clinton has done in particular that has had a negative effect on Rome’s economy? What about the past few governors you’ve had?

I’m in upstate, too, west of you. Our town has struggled back over the past 30 years through the efforts of entrepreneurs. This economy will finish off some of them, and new taxation will destroy more of them.

We’re pretty happy down here in Alabama - we’ve got Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby in the Senate - two of the better Senaturds.

Our communist senators in MI have created tens of jobs. Okay, make that three or four.

But both have ballooned into size XXXXXLLLL suits or beyond. They both represent DC perfectly - fat, ugly, overfed, bloated and stupid.

No, nothing inparticular. Manufacturing moved out. Rome had a great copper industry, copper wire, Revere Copper and Brass, etc. Clinton did nothing to help. We’ve had some pretty bad governors, too. Government hasn’t done much to help anyone here as industry moved out due in some part to high taxes and regulations, which Clinton and co. could have helped. Doing nothing had a negative effect,IMHO.

I think that she should be asked about the “FJB epithet” that she hurled at Dick Morris. I’m sure that our allies in Israel are thrilled that an potential anti-Semite will be our next SOS.

Just ANOTHER example that liberals do not ever consider the consequences of their actions. Their narcissism can tune out any portion of reality they wish. Their lies are truth — their is no wrong with anything they say or do, in their pursuit of absolute power. The Clintons have been the best example to date, but Obama may show them up.
